Horus (Horakhty) – God of the Sky

Horus, the falcon headed god, was one of the most important deities in Ancient Egypt. From his earliest traditions Horus was acclaimed as the god of the sky and of war. However, his most famous role was that of the divine king. Egyptian pharaohs were believed to be the embodiment of Horus on earth, ruling humanity as he ruled the gods.
